If you're a music fan, you've probably been to your fair share of events already. Whether they were outdoor concerts, tribute bands, festivals, private shows or a combination of all types, they probably involved a lot of planning.

Not only do you have to buy tickets (which can be stressful if you know there's a chance they'll sell out), but it's necessary to secure transportation and make sure you have everything you need to bring. If you've ever found yourself lacking a certain item when you're settled in at the show, it might be time for a brush-up on the essential objects to take with you. Here are a few you might want to consider.

1. A cell phone. Not just any cell phone - a fully charged cell phone. You never know when you'll run into an emergency situation, and it's also nice to be able to take spontaneous pictures of the band or give your friend that concert call he requested.

2. A band tee. While it's kind of nerdy to wear a t-shirt featuring the band you're seeing, it's acceptable to show your love for another musical act that you've also supported. T-shirts and jeans are practically the dress code for concerts - what else would you wear?

3. An electronic cigarette. Smoking isn't allowed at public venues, but you can get your nicotine fix with an e-cig that produces vapor instead of smoke. You won't be bothering anyone around you, and you can even choose a fun eLiquid flavor like Mountain Blast or Beast Energy.

4. A designated driver. If you're planning to indulge in a couple of alcoholic beverages during the concert, you'll need someone who hasn't imbibed to bring you home safely. Recruit a friend or family member, and offer to buy his or her ticket or a concert tee as compensation. You might even want to return the favor next time.

5. A lighter. Although you won't need one for your e-cig, you might feel inclined to whip it out during a particularly moving song during the show. There's nothing like a waving sea of lighters and cell phones to amp up the energy level at a concert!

If you've already discovered the benefits of vaping electronic cigarettes, you probably don't need to be convinced that they're a better alternative to smoking cigarettes. However, there are still millions of people out there who have their facts all wrong and believe that e-cigs should be included in the same category as tobacco products.

Show your support of CASAA (The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association) by purchasing a support bracelet. Not only will 100 percent of the proceeds go toward its initiative to fight for vaping rights, but you'll be raising awareness in your community and promoting e-cigs as viable alternatives.

Smoking bans are being implemented in states across the nation, and some are even updating their legislation to include electronic cigarettes, believing that they should be grouped together with tobacco-related products like chewing tobacco, cigarettes, hookah and cigars. You already know that e-cigs don't have a single thing to do with tobacco, but if you want to help others understand, buy a "Support Vaping" bracelet and wear it proudly.

Your skin is one of the most important aspects of your appearance. Without a smooth, even complexion, the rest of your features might be overshadowed, weakening their attractiveness. Before you splurge on treatments at the dermatologist or expensive facial creams, take these simple steps to improve your complexion.

1. Wash regularly. Find a gentle cleanser that's suitable for your skin type, whether it's dry, sensitive, oily or acne-prone. Use it day and night to wash away dirt and oil that's accumulated throughout the day.

2. Moisturize. Ideally, you should pick up two moisturizers to use on your face: one for day and one for night. The day formula should be lightweight and offer you SPF to protect your visage from the sun's harsh rays, while the night formula should be rich and offer you anti-aging benefits.

3. Stay out of the sun. Even when it's cloudy out, UV rays can penetrate the cloud cover and wreak havoc on your skin, causing wrinkles, fine lines, age spots and even cancer. Whenever you go outside, make sure to slather up with a lotion that has an SPF of at least 25. Keep in mind that even windows (indoors or in your car) can allow UV rays to come through.

4. Quit smoking. Cigarettes are chock full of chemicals that can make your skin appear aged far sooner than it should. Along with being responsible for a dull complexion, cigarette smoke can yellow your teeth. Switch to electronic cigarettes instead to get your nicotine fix. With vapor instead of smoke, e-cigs are much friendlier for your skin.

5. Exfoliate. Your skin needs regular exfoliation to get rid of dead skin cells on the surface that could be dulling your visage and clogging pores. Find a gentle one to use on a daily basis (or every other day), then consider a chemical peel every now and then to reveal glowing, youthful skin underneath.

6. Eat well. If you're eating unhealthy foods full of artificial ingredients, trans fats and processed ingredients, you're not doing your skin any favors. Fill up on foods like fruits and vegetables, which provide your skin with the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals it needs to remain firm, clear and healthy. Drinking plenty of water each day is also important.

If you're a woman who's been tearing up the dating scene lately, you've probably had your fair share of first dates. While they can sometimes be awkward (or even disastrous), many times, first dates pave the way for second or third meetings. However, in order to ensure that your date goes smoothly, you have to take a few things into consideration. Here are several ways to make sure your date goes off without a hitch.

1. Don't be late. Women are known for being fashionably late, usually because they spend so much time getting ready. While it's okay to keep your date waiting a few minutes, it's simply rude to go beyond 10. You wouldn't want to wait that long, so why should he?

2. Don't assume he'll pay. Old-fashioned guys may insist that you let them foot the bill, but be prepared to offer to split the check. This shows men that you're not relying on them for everything and that you're independent. Reach for your wallet when the check comes. More than likely, he'll say there's no need.

3. Leave the cigarettes at home. Men don't typically like women who smell like smoke, and if you have to take cigarette breaks during your date, it'll likely be a turn-off. Instead, bring along an electronic cigarette to get your nicotine fix, which won't affect your breath or diminish the scent of your perfume. An e-cig can easily fit into your purse.

4. Dress conservatively. Although you might like the idea of flaunting your favorite body parts, it's better to keep it classy with clothes that aren't too revealing. If you choose a short skirt, make sure your top covers the majority of your cleavage, and vice versa. Only one area of your outfit should be subtly showing off skin.

5. Keep your phone in your purse. Many people these days feel the need to constantly play with their smartphones. If you have one, keep it under wraps for your date, otherwise your guy will think that he's boring you. Of course, feel free to send a quick text to a friend if you need to be rescued from a lackluster date. It happens!

If you spend a lot of time indoors, you probably want to make sure that you're breathing in the best air possible. You can improve your home's air quality by controlling sources that emit pollution, boosting ventilation and stocking up on air cleaners. Here are a few tips to help you out with the process.

1. Upgrade your vacuum. Chemicals and dust can settle all throughout your home, clogging up the air in each and every room. Get a vacuum with strong suction, rotating brushes and a HEPA filter to ensure that you're not just blowing that dirt around when you're cleaning. Do this at least twice a week and be sure to clean the filter when it's dirty.

2. Stock up on houseplants. Plants can quickly remove airborne toxins and provide your home with more oxygen. In fact, some plants thrive on the chemicals that household materials emit, growing lush and green right before your eyes. Try a spider plant, a fern or some aloe vera to spruce up your decor.

3. Make your house a no-smoking zone. Cigarette smoke is one of the worst air pollutants, containing more than 4,000 chemicals. Secondhand smoke is unhealthy for everyone in your home and thirdhand smoke can leave residual toxins for years. Switch to electronic cigarettes to get your nicotine fix instead, which can be vaped indoors.

4. Control the humidity. Mold and dust mites thrive in high-humidity households, so it's best to keep your levels around 30 to 50 percent. A dehumidifier can help to reduce the moisture content of the air, while an air conditioner can reduce allergens.

5. Use natural cleaning products. Instead of relying on household cleaners with plenty of harmful chemicals, look for natural options or try using more unconventional ingredients, like white vinegar or baking soda. They work just as well and won't pump chemicals into the air.

6. Use materials and buy products that are non-toxic. Some furniture items can release harmful chemicals into the air, as well as paints, adhesives, carpeting and upholstery. If you buy natural materials, you'll not only be helping your home's indoor environment, but you'll be making a positive impact on the earth!

If you're a smoker or live with someone who is, you've probably noticed that your home's interior isn't as fresh as it could be. Aside from the smell of cigarette smoke that's permeated your furniture, carpets and window treatments, you might see a film covering the walls that's turning them a brownish-yellow color. This is smoke residue from those cigarettes, and it can be tough to get rid of! Here are a few tips for banishing nicotine stains.

1. Try using white vinegar to give your walls a quick wash. It might sound weird, but it'll get the job done and will leave a fresh scent, believe it or not. You can do this easily by filling up a bucket and using a mop to reach the areas near the ceiling. Rinse off the residue in hot water every so often, then dip the mop back into the vinegar before scrubbing again.

2. For stubborn stains, you could try spraying the walls with white vinegar, then using a washcloth with baking soda to scrub the mark. A magic eraser could also work. Be careful though - if you rub too hard, you might damage the surface and remove some of the paint.

3. If your walls are wallpapered, use the same techniques as you would with paint, but be sure to use a clean, dry cloth to dry up the vinegar as soon as you've washed it, otherwise the paper could lift and wrinkle.

4. It's best to work in small sections that are no more than four feet wide, and you should always start cleaning near the ceiling so grime won't drip onto the freshly washed portions.

5. If you can't get rid of a nicotine stain, it might be better to simply paint over it. Be sure to wash the walls first, then use a primer to smooth the surface before applying the paint color of your choice. If you don't use a primer, the paint won't stick as well to the stain's oily residue.

Now that your walls are looking fresh and bright again, you might want to prohibit family members (and yourself) from smoking indoors. Instead of heading outside, pick up an electronic cigarette, which can be vaped indoors without risking damage to your walls.

http://revolvercig.com/news/tips-for-keeping-that-brand-new-car-in-like-new-condition/

If you recently bought a new vehicle, excitement might be an understatement. There's nothing like sitting behind the wheel of a brand spankin' new car and taking in the crisp, clean interior, the smooth purr of the engine and the shiny sparkle of the paint. However, there are a lot of ways that your car could get damaged, so it's important to keep up regular maintenance. Here are a few ways you can make sure your new car stays looking, smelling and feeling fresh.

1. Get regular cleanings. While you might think that a good old-fashioned scrub down in your driveway is your best bet, PepBoys.com warns that household soaps like dishwashing liquid can damage the finish on your vehicle, remove wax and cause staining. It's best to head to the car wash every couple of weeks.

2. Treat the interior like you would a carpet or leather sofa. Car interiors can experience a lot of wear and tear, which is why it's crucial to keep your vehicle clean and protected. Consider investing in floor mats to keep dirt and grime from embedding into the material, and use upholstery or leather cleaner to spruce up your seats.

3. Don't smoke. Cigarette smoke can greatly diminish the value of your car, not to mention make it smell like an ashtray on wheels. Instead, use electronic cigarettes in your vehicle, which won't cause a lingering stench. As a bonus, you won't have to worry about any stray ashes burning holes in your seats - e-cigs don't get hot!

4. Park in the shade. Whether it's in a garage, underneath a tree or beneath a cover, it's important to keep your vehicle safe from the damaging heat and UV rays of the sun. A garage or cover can also ensure that your car doesn't get dirty from pollen or bird droppings, and you won't have to worry about overheating inside when it's hot out!

5. Get routine maintenance. While your car's aesthetics may be important, it's the engine and inner workings that really need to be taken care of. Make sure that your car receives routine maintenance when necessary. Although it might seem like you can go miles over the recommended amount before taking it in for something like a flush or an oil change, you're not doing your car any favors.

http://revolvercig.com/news/simple-steps-toward-a-greener-life/

If you're worried about the sustainability of our planet and its natural resources, it might be time to change up your habits to make them a bit more eco-friendly. Despite what you may think, going green doesn't have to involve going without your favorite products or abstaining from indulging in your regular habits. Here are a few ways you can easily reduce your carbon footprint.

1. Use a tote bag for groceries. Think of how many paper and plastic bags get handed out at stores and grocery markets every day. While saving these bags for things like picking up dog waste, holding trash and bagging essentials is good, it's even better to use a reusable bag for your groceries. Many stores will even offer you a discount for doing so!

2. Switch to an electronic cigarette. If you smoke on a regular basis, you're not doing any favors for the environment. Not only is the smoke polluting the air, but your used cigarettes (especially those that don't make it into the trash) can seep toxic chemicals into the groundwater. An e-cig is rechargeable and produces vapor instead of smoke. Of course, you'll still be able to get your nicotine fix.

3. Turn off appliances you're not using. While it's impractical to turn off things like the refrigerator, chances are you can go without your laptop, blowdryer or lamp being plugged in 24/7. Electronics like these still use electricity when they're not in use, so it's better to unplug them from the socket when you're done with them.

4. Turn off the water when you're brushing your teeth or washing dishes. You don't need the faucet on when you're scrubbing your teeth or a pan. Instead, just turn it on when you need it. When washing dishes, it's better to fill up a rinse tub rather than let a constant stream of water do the work.

5. Go organic. Although organic groceries are often a bit pricier, the amount of pollutants and pesticides that you're cutting down on is significant - meaning the extra cost might be worth it. Not only do organic fruits and vegetables often taste better, but you can rest assured knowing you're not exposing your family to harmful toxins.

John Cusack, the actor known for films like Being John Malkovich and 2012, has recently been out and about promoting his new thriller, The Raven. Despite the fact that Cusack has been tobacco-free for eight years, The Sudbury Star reports that the actor frequently indulges in electronic cigarettes - especially while dining.

"I like to smoke these in restaurants to freak people out. It's just water vapor," he told the news source. Being a famous actor probably gets him enough attention, but perhaps he likes being noticed for something other than his acting skills.

If you're planning to use smokeless cigarettes in dining establishments, it might be a good idea to ask the serving staff or the manager if it's okay first in order to avoid any mishaps. While electronic cigarettes don't contain any tobacco that would be banned in such a place, the sight of you vaping might make staff members or patrons wonder what you're doing. If you're confronted, simply explain the facts about e-cigs and you'll likely be all set!

If you're a guy who has a first date on the horizon, you're probably starting to prepare yourself - both mentally and physically. If you have a feeling that this particular prospect is a promising one, you might be looking for ways to ensure that you make a good first impression. After all, there are a number of things that can make a first date turn sour. Here are a few examples of ways you can make sure you're showing the best side of yourself.

1. Pick the right venue. While going to the movies is fun, it's not the best place to get to know your date - after all, you'd probably be hushed if you started up a conversation! Instead, choose a venue where you'll be able to get to know your companion without any pressure - like a coffee shop or a low-key (yet nice) restaurant.

2. Spruce yourself up. Obviously, you want to look great. Choose an outfit that's appropriate for where you're going (don't be over or underdressed) and take time to shave, style your hair and maybe put on a bit of cologne. Too much, however, might be overwhelming.

3. Leave the cigarettes at home. Not many women want to watch as their new date lights up, and you never know if smoking is a deal-breaker. Instead, bring along an electronic cigarette and take a few drags when you feel a nicotine craving. She'll be glad that you're not putting her health at risk, and your e-cig won't require you to leave her while you head outside.

4. Be on your best behavior. Manners are important on a first date, so you should take extra care to be especially nice. Open up doors for her, be kind to waiters or staff you encounter and avoid swearing. It's also important to be on time!

5. Don't get too personal. A first date is an opportunity to begin to get to know someone so you can gauge your compatibility. You don't want to ask your date any personal questions or bring up information about yourself that might scare her off. Never talk about any ex-girlfriends or old relationships!
